It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Tommie Dwynne Felter Ducote.

True to Tommie's loving nature, she was serving and comforting others in her last moments on this earth. She passed from this life at Ochsner Medical Center where she was surrounded by family and friends.

Tommie was known for her warm hugs and arms wide open with the words, "There's my children!" Her laugh was infectious, and she was the shoulder you could cry on. Tommie was talented and creative, and her home was always a welcome landing place for her family and friends. She loved deeply, served selflessly, and gave enormously. She was one of the most kind, loving people you could have ever met. She had a way of loving you, that you would feel like you were the most important person in the world. She will be greatly missed by so many family and friends.

Tommie was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. She is survived by her husband, Daniel Ducote; brother and sister-in-law, David & Linda Felter; sisters Jackie Bryant and Linda Lasayne; children Wayne & Cathy Ducote, Dan & Andrea Ducote; Chad & Amanda Ducote; and 7 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.

Tommie was a long-time resident of Baton Rouge, and active in Journey Church. She served on greeting team and in nursing home ministry, and served in many community events. Our loss is heaven's gain.
